Electrify America is one of the first major U.S. charging networks to commit to adding Tesla-style NACS charging ports to its high-speed charger network. The move provides drivers of all electric cars more options for public charging, making life with an EV more convenient.

Volvo is just the latest manufacturer to commit to adopting the North American Charging Standard plug for future EVs. Volvo drivers will have access to over 12,000 Tesla Superchargers starting in the first half of 2024, and can search for and pay for charging within Volvo's app.

J.D. Power's annual Electric Vehicle Consideration study shows that more Americans than ever are considering switching to electric. But many are still concerned about access to public charging, which is limiting the growth of EV sales.

Starting in 2024, drivers of Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac electric cars will be able to access Tesla's excellent network of high-speed Superchargers. The brands will also adopt Tesla's charging port in 2025.

Starting next year, Ford drivers will be able to easily access Tesla's Supercharger network – acknowledged as the best fast-charging network in the world, with over 12,000 Level 3 Chargers across the U.S. and Canada. 

Tesla is the dominant electric car brand in the U.S., but it's cutting prices again in order to maintain market share as competitors from legacy car brands are introduced. The latest round of cuts brings the starting MSRP of the Model 3 to just $41,990.
