This five-seater subcompact crossover comes in six trim levels. Two hybrid powertrain options include the NX350h’s two electric motors married to a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine for 239 horses. The top-of-the-line NX450h+ ($57,225) takes its 302-hp powertrain from the Toyota RAV4 Prime. EPA estimated MPG is an impressive 36 miles combined.

Porsche Cayenne PHEV
We had to include one of the Porsche plug-ins to our luxury list. The Cayenne is a sports car turned crossover mixing sustainability with performance driving dynamics. There’s even a Turbo S E-Hybrid ($135,900) that offers impressive performance and dual drive hybrid technology for the most powerful engine output in the model range. Its twin turbo V8 engine and electric motor combo shows off the Cayenne PHEV’s sports car DNA with a zero to 60 mph time of 3.9 seconds. EPA estimated MPG is 17 miles combined.

Volvo S60 Recharge PHEV
The S60 is a stylish and luxurious sedan in the footprint of great European saloon cars. Its handsome interior is lined in rich materials and the PHEV’s 415-horsepower powertrain is the fastest in the S60 line. The five-seater sedan showcases new designs and infotainment software in the 2023 model. Four trim levels include the Inscription ($51,695) which includes a 2.0-liter inline four turbo engine and all-wheel drive. EPA estimated MPG is an impressive 30 miles combined.
