Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, we give you… the first Jeep EV. It’s an all-electric Wagoneer wonder that has come a long way from the wood-paneled and boxy dad-mobile of old. In fact, the Launch Edition for 2025 is a sleek five-seater with plenty of go power. We’re talking zero to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds!

The Shape of Things to come!
We’ll say it right up front; we are impressed by the Jeep Wagoneer S EV and if Jeep is planning more electric models to come, this is an excellent way to start the pack. We know the automaker is working feverishly on a Wrangler EV and an all-electric Recon SUV, but the Wagoneer S is out of the gate first in its Launch Edition livery.
This sleek sled has come a long way from its original namesake that harkens back to 1963. You’ll find an electric motor up front and another one in the back to pack a total of 600 horsepower and 617 pound-feet of torque in this pleasing package. The front electric motor has a unique disconnect feature to increase range and save electricity.
All-wheel drive comes standard, and Jeep utilizes its Selec-Terrain management system with such diving modes as Eco, Auto, Sport, Snow and Sand to help families get where they’re going without a fuss. We found the Wagoneer S to offer plenty of performance power in such a clever SUV package. The Launch Edition will take you an EPA estimated 303 miles on a charge.
Its 400-volt electric pack will charge from 20 to 80 percent in just 23 minutes on a Level 3 DC fast charger. A Level 2 charger is included with purchase and the standard Wagoneer S will tow 3,400 pounds.

On the Inside
The Wagoneer S is a bit smaller than the conventional Grand Wagoneer (the wheelbase is 3.7 inches shorter) but front legroom is the same and the rear legroom is 1.8 inches shorter. inside, it carries over many of the traditional Jeep “feels” by way of design. Amazingly lavish mock-leather upholstery is standard, and the seats are heated and cooled both front and rear. Quality materials abound and we think the electronic door releases are a nice touch as is the panoramic sunroof.
When it comes to cargo room, you’ll find 30 cubic feet behind the second row of seats and 61 cubic feet of room with those seats stowed. There’s also an additional three cubic feet up front in the “frunk” that will hold a picnic lunch or somethin’.
An impressive 45-inch digital display screen spans the dash showcasing as 12.3-inch driver’s instrument cluster and a 10.3-inch infotainment display touchscreen. There’s also a 64-color ambient illumination control to adjust your lighting mood and a separate climate control display to keep things cool.
A suite of standard safety and driver assist features include adaptive cruise control with automatic braking, lane-departure and lane-keep assist, a 360-degree surround video, parking assist and more.
In Conclusion
This is a very silent luxury 4x4 SUV with all the bells and whistles. The Jeep Wagoneer pioneered the modern SUV with its independent suspension and automatic transmission. But this S model is a cut above; an all-electric miracle that brings you great acceleration, distinctive styling, and an upscale, comfy interior. All this plus a mighty McIntosh audio system and a power liftgate too.
MSRP $66,995 - $71,995 depending on accessories.
