There are lots of good reasons to consider leasing a new EV instead of buying one. Leasing an EV lets you access the $7,500 federal tax incentive regardless of where the vehicle is made or your economic status. It’s also a good way to future-proof yourself: with technology evolving rapidly, you may not want to lock yourself into a long-term relationship with a new vehicle, knowing that in a couple of years, a better version with faster charging and more range might hit the market.
The best deals we found for August aren’t as insane as earlier in the year, and as more buyers snap up inexpensive EVs, the number of sub-$200/month offers is minimal.
